 At the risk of sounding like a broken record--you have many of the indicators of a tongue-tie here. Poor latch, clicking, causing oversupply, causing more defensive feeding causing more oversupply. All causing plugged ducts and of course recurrent thrush from the constant friction. I would have the tongue looked at right away. I would use homeopathic phytolacca in the meantime for the plugs. Please be sure everyone involved actually knows how to look for a posterior tongue-tie. Personally, I cringe when I see moms and babies on diflucan--which would be completely unnecessary of there is a tt and it is clipped and isn't going to do a thing if there is a tt and it is not clipped.
