I would say that it also applies in midwestern USA, where "boobs" is
just slang, but "tits" is vulgar.
I nearly always call them breasts professionally, but sometimes if we
are being silly, I might talk about our crazy boobs that can't count to
one or something like that. Only in the appropriate context, of
course.
