the foam under the baby's bottom that keeps him from sliding down and the velcro straps remind me of a homemade version of the Tucker sling. http://www.tuckersling.com/default.htm

Never saw this foam type rig before, just the use of baby carrying =
bucket
car seats propped up. My husband comes from a fix-it type family and so =
I
sent him the link also. His grandfather put a gas engine on a rotary =
hoe,
for example.
Quite ingenious if the parents and baby are desperate, though many on
Lactnet will probably think it is terrible.=20
You can still keep the little one in bed with you with this foam thing.
Please don't anyone email the mother with any negative opinions. I did =
not
post it for that. =20

INFANT SLEEPING WEDGE FOR REFLUX/GERD - FREE!!!
I have an infant sleeping wedge that the *physical therapy department at =
St.
Peter Hospital made* for my son because he had reflux. He used it for =
about
7 months and then grew out of it.
It shows lots of wear. It's not pretty. But you can cover it up with =
towels
or whatever. It still is very functional. We no longer have a use for =
it.
If your baby has Reflux or GERD this thing is great. Our baby was so =
much
happier after we got this wedge. No more night time spit-ups.
FREE!!! We will not hold this for anyone. First to come pick it up gets =
it!
(ps...We claim no responsiblity for the safety of this device. It worked
quite well for us but after he got over 7 months old he could wiggle out =
of
it.)=20
