Dear Friends:
I have posted one URL for group visits; there are many other articles
endorsing this practice. 2 of the Health Centers in my City use prenatal group
visits as a way to maximize provider contact in a social situation. As humans are
social creatures, and oxytocin flows in group settings because individuals
feel safer, and overcrowding in Health Centers is fast becoming a major problem
(particularly with the increasing numbers of uninsurable women needing
care), group care is a new idea that appears to be useful.

Childbirth education classes are an example of group teaching that has been
shown to work.
