Hi,
I have been reading the posts regarding what should be considered a normal
menstrual history and am hoping for an off-list reply to this: My daughter
began having periods at age 10 1/2. Some months she has two. She had a
physical last week, and the pediatrician seemed more concerned with talking
me into giving her Gardisil than in her menstruating 2x/ month at age 11. (I did
not get talked into the Gardisil). This may sound really stupid, but is she
better off seeing a midwife for care at this juncture, or should I just shop for a
more informed pediatrician? Our family history is of early onset menses, I got
mine at age 10 as well. My daughter also has very lovely breasts that are
already almost the same size as mine. Imagine--she nursed for six + years,
and now she has her own breasts. Our babies grow up too fast, don't they?
thank you!
leslie
