Hi Heather
This has been discussed before. Check the archives. My understanding is
that while breast stimulation causes the release of oxytocin, until a mother
is ready to go into labour, oxytocin reception will be blocked in the
uterine muscle. It is perfectly safe for this mother to express under the
shower for comfort - unless she has a history of premature labour.
