There are a lot of fascinating interrelationships between all the hormones
here. Increased oxytocin is also implicated in women with dysmenorrhea.
Did she have dysmenorrhea also before she took OCs?

OCs would undoubtedly help her headaches, although there's the issue of how
it would affect her milk supply. Interestingly, there have been a few
studies discussing fennel extract as a modulator to reduce the cramping
effect of oxytocin during dysmenorrhea.

essential oil on uterine contraction as a model for dysmenorrhea.

I wonder if some of the other therapies used for dysmenorrhea might be
helpful for her? Most are compatible with breastfeeding and good supply.

Thanks for posting such an interesting case.

Suzanne
