Dairy intolerance is hugely common among Celiacs and is the number
one intolerance of babies.

Alimentum is dairy based. It's hydrolyzed but not 100% so a very
sensitive child (the green stools & FTT strongly suggesting food
sensitivity and the new rash adds to suspician) can react to the
Alimentum as well. The last time I looked, the powdered Alimentum
has corn syrup, which a corn sensitive child will react to (residual
proteins in it --- but if mom's eating corn anyway.... and not suggesting
baby is corn sensitive although it's rather common too). The liquid
Alimentum had no corn last I looked. Yes, a full elimination diet is an
ideal course, and letting baby feed all he wants/as long as he wants.
MOm may be tired of nursing but it's awfully important right now.
Comfort nursing needs to be respected as valuable as well, especially
when a child is having a hard time.
