Catherine writes: "Formula companies also get mothers names from hospitals, and deliver 
coupons and even a case of formula in the mail." 

How could this happen when it is confidential information? I have seen moms sign up in the OB doctors office with their names & addresses under the guise of receiving information & coupons. Same thing in maternity stores. I don't think they need any information from hospitals. Years ago a patient complained that the hospital where I work?gave out her name to some organization & she was reassured that the hospital did not give out anyone's name, address or phone number.
