Lansinoh is not just "a commercial company" - as I wrote originally, it's
owned by Pigeon, a WHO Code violator - see the Breaking the Rules Reports,
or www.ibfan.org -and I have never been convinced that it's 'supportive of
breastfeeding' - I have not found independent research (that is, not done by
Lansinoh staff) based on randomised controlled trials to show it works. [if
you know of any research published in a peer-reviewed journal, please send
details to me]
I raised the issue of sponsorship money accepted by the Australian
Breastfeeding Asscn, but of course La Leche League has had a long, close
financial relationship with Lansinoh, and according to its website, Lansinoh
is the only product listed under this heading.
