We too, have this issue. I think our radiologists have a more conservative
approach. I have gone around this issue and was basically told that they
don't see it the way of Dr. Hale. Our neonatologist wrote a letter to them.
The issue is irritating. These moms just get their baby, start to bf and
poof have to with-hold BF for these contrast agents, for 24 hrs or more,
even though Dr. Hale says they are pretty safe. Also, when the radiologist
speaks, it's an authority. Then we come in and give other info, the mothers
feel pretty mixed up to say the least!
