Lactation Support Program at Miller Children's Hospital
Full time. MemorialCare Center for Women at Miller Childrens Hospital/Long 
Beach Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Lactation Consultant for their 
Lactation Support Services Out Patient Department. Duties will include, but 
are not limited to, providing evaluation, teaching, and mentoring of confidence 
and skills to lactating mothers and families who require assistance after 
discharge, as well as minimal inpatient visits in our Pediatric hospital. The 
consultant will also assist with the education and training of nursing staff, 
physicians, nursing students, lactation students, medical students, interns and 
residents regarding lactation. Minimum requirements are: Must be an RN, 
completion of a Certified Lactation Consultant course, IBCLC certified, BLS 
certified, and NRP Certified. Minimum of 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in 
an outpatient clinic with lactating mothers and babies as the focus. 
Experience in an acute care hospital setting is a plus. Bilingual preferred. We
