When I write or speak, I simply say "feeding" the baby whenever I can. By making "breast"feeding a term, we have implied that there is some other way of feeding. If all mammals "feed" our babies, there is an implied way in which it is done. I love the terms "nursing" and nurture (in the US, CN), but I think we need to make the breast inherent and therefore implied in the word feeding. If we take the word feeding back, then the bottle becomes the other-than-normal part of the process. Actually, the working title of a book I am currently working on is simply "Feeding Babies".
