That is interesting and you also point out that different societies manage food supplies differently. We do not all live in the same societies and yet we all can feed our children at the breast. It seems that the more we know, the more we don't know. 
This is a wonderfully diverse group. I appreciate all of your responses. Thank-you.
It is awesome to be in contact with women and men from all over the world , who support and promote 'species specific milk' for human babies.

famous anthropology film called The Giraffe Hunt, if I am remembering 
correctly. One of the men in the hunting party was very motivated to get 
meat to bring home to his pregnant wife for her welfare and that of the 
growing baby. Though there were usually complex ways of dividing the 
hunt, the elderly, women and children were well provided for.
