I'll second Jeanette.
How does the conference work, magnificently. I attended with my 6 year old
daughter and my mother, she was my $100 registrant. We both attended
sessions, she and my daughter did not eat the conference meals, too pricey.
We traded off having my daughter with us at sessions, took quiet play
materials to the sessions and then grandma provided the respite of playroom
time, swimming pool etc.

You can also usually hire a teen as a mother's helper if you need.

It is an overwhelming (but amazing) experience, I come back really energized
and motivated. My mother commented on how nice the children there are, nice
to each other, helpful, thoughtful, polite.

appearance of babies, toddlers, young children and teens all over the place

My mother's partner told her she would be the only "older woman/grandma"
there and out of place, ha, there were many intergenerational attendees,
which is another wonderful thing in itself, and my mother had a grand time.
