Is there anybody working in a hospital enivrnoment that has a policy for the
length of time a infant can go without a feeding or a first breastfeeding. I
am
getting much grief from coworkers about this issue. And what research can I
use to back it up.
Thanks
Flopjo

Dear Flopjp
Did you get any info from other members about your question? . In Human
Lactation by Riodan on page 195 in the Chapter on Perinatal and INtrapartum
Care there is an excellant GUIDELINES FOR THE INFANT WHO DOES NOT LATCH ON -
ACCORDING TO HOURS POSTPARTUM (adapted from Memorial Hospital 2003,
Colorado Springs, Colorado - ) but I too would be most interested in
gathering other guidelines from different hospitals and also would be
appreciative of evidence based research if there is any... If you received
any letters, please foward them to me .
Thanks
Leslie Wolff, Israel
