This is just a thought.............
Our pediatric clinic uses the growth charts that they get free from
Ross (formula comp.). They are the tear-off sheets of 100. They have the
weight and length on one side and the head circumference on the other. Boys
in blue, girls in pink. They are already converted, having both lbs and kgs
on it. (you know it is too much work to divide the lbs. by 2.2 !)
MY THOUGHT is maybe the newly formed USLCA could develop these to be
distributed. The similac one has enough room on the side of it to list all
the different formulas they offer. We could list some of the benefits to
breastfeeding, or at least boldly claim that breastfeeding is the standard
to which all babies are to be compared! I guess ILCA could do it as well, I
just was thinking the US was more hung up on formula being the cultural norm
than the outlying countries. But I'm pretty naive to what goes on
worldwide.
I KNOW it is assessible via download, but it does not include pounds,
and as already mentioned, they will not like having to calculate first
before plotting. What do you think?????
