Margaret,
This is ow I nursed mine from the start and through the 3-4 years they
nursed, except at night. I learned it when I was little watching my aunties and
my mother feed their 6-11 children each. I'm the eldest of 114 first cousins
combining both sides of the family. It worked for me and I never knew from
cross cradle or asymetrical whatever. However, lots of tools for lots of
types! I think that's one of the things that allows an LC to be called
experienced. I also don't remember nursing lying down with my newborn in the hospital.
I was always sitting up. THEY wouldn't let us lie down in bed with the
baby.
