Hi Allyson,
Have you thought about the possibility that it is a form of hand, foot and
mouth? My daughter had this in September and I was very concerned of it
spreading to my nipple. After consulting with many LC's and MD's in my area,
I was told it wouldn't spread to my nipple. It did. It manifested itself as a
white spot on my nipple that got more white during and after nursing, and
flesh colored between. My daughter didn't have any of the spots in her
mouth, but did have them on her hands and feet. Treatment for her was just
time. For my nipples I used All Purpose Nipple Cream, and it cleared in a few
days. It was very painful to nurse until the spots cleared up.
Just a suggestion.
