Hello Nina,

Firstly let me say I am a HUGE fan of Linda Smith....her teaching style, her approach and naturally, her books.

Coach's Handbook is a necessity when prepping for prenatal lactation education classes, teaching other health care professionals etc.

It is full of wonderfully clever ways to share the amazing magic of breastfeeding concepts!

The other book the LC in Private Practice: The ABC's of Getting Started is extremely helpful for just that........getting started. Bookkeeping, media info, business skills etc are included and in my humble opinion THE definitive text for setting up a working system. Her realistic and truthful yet encouraging approach gathers some of the best minds who in turn help us to prepare fully for all events.

Your specific objective can be met with the Core Curriculum for Lactation Consultant Practice edited by Marsha Walker published by Jones and Bartlet. Ms Smith wrote several chapters in this one too. There are others I am sure, but this is the one that comes to mind right now.

Warmly,

Andrea Syms-Brown.

hello

can anybody tell me which book by linda smith to buy?

"the lactaction consultant in private practice"?

"couch's notebook"?

what are the differences? the good and the bad points?

my objective is to give better lactation information to all women, from babies'

birth to toddlerhood.

thanks
