Dear Jody, check the LLLI web site re: legal issues. I always remember Liz
saying you get more bees with honey. Mom needs to realize this is her life
now, sharing her with baby's dad. The judge will give dad visitation, with
or without mom's cooperation, with or without mom's milk. So she needs to
offer acceptable alternatives, not road blocks. She needs to be positive:
yes, baby needs time to get to know dad. Baby is breastfed and can only be
seaparated from mom easily for 2-3 hours while she is still so small. So 2
x a week for a few hours will work. Offer a reasonable option, don't say
baby can't be separated from mom at all. Many moms of 4 mo olds are gone
for 8-10 hours per day. .
See someone in LLL or an LC and learn how to hand express effectively.
Start freezing that milk!
