I've been told that rice cereal in a bottle is prescribed for reflux 
babies because the cereal is "heavy" and therefore stays down instead 
of being spit up like milk.

I haven't had a lot of personal experience with reflux but 
this "logic" doesn't really sit well with me.  Maybe someone who's 
been there might have some more wisdom for us.  I'll be watching to 
learn. :)
