What I fail to understand is why this has to be such a big deal...no 
one is saying a mother can't choose to formula-feed, they're just 
saying that she has to buy the formula herself and pack it in her 
hospital bag if she wants to feed that to her baby.

Sort of like how I wanted sushi after my first was born...they don't 
serve that in the hospital as part of the free food offering.  We had 
to buy it and bring it in ourselves.
