I missed the first post but don't forget that if bacteria is the cause,
another idea might be to look to the breast pump parts, especially the
tubing. If the tubing is an open system and can get wet inside the
tubing, it could grow something. I see a lot of wet tubing these days.
Mothers are always told it is there milk. I always ask, how can they be
sure? What about germs in the NICU, germs on the uncleaned NICU pump,
bacteria in the powdered formula or enhancer they put into the breastmilk?
