Hi Everyone-
I've been off Lactnet for a while, with all time consumed by setting up the  
first USA Baby Cafe - _http://www.thebabycafe.co.uk/L/BC_Detail.php?ID=105_

The Cafe is going along very well, funded by a March of Dimes grant-  with 
LOTS of moms attending twice a week, and local docs sending moms with any  
breastfeeding issues there as well. We currently track an 86% exclusive  
breastfeeding rate @ 6mos of all the 6mos babies attending. (That's  compared to a state 
6mos excl rate of 14%)

This Wed- Aug 8th. , we are participating in the Guiness World  Records 
Synchronized World Breastfeeding event with a gathering of moms at the  Baby Cafe 
in Melrose, all latching on at 10am. We will have the press there, in  addition 
to a couple of "professionals " to document it. 
(I don't know if anyone on Lactnet sent out info about the World Sync  
BFeeding event already, so pardon if this is old news.)

It took a bit of  organizing, but once I downloaded all the specific
directions, it was fairly  easy to pull together. I don't know how many
other US sites are  participating, but if the event occurs next year, perhaps
more of  us can participate. Some Phillipine LC's and others  apparently 
started it all, and they have some lovely songs they have made  up to go with it.
