Hi All,

I am working with a young mom whose baby has a sub-mucosal tongue tie. I
need to know if this can be clipped without putting baby under a general.
My favorite ENT here has told 2 of my clients that baby needs to be put
under for a 1mm web of a posterior t-t - which, quite honestly I just didn't
understand. Cathy Genna - what say you? Can a submucosal T-T be clipped
with a local rather than a general? Oh, and by submucosal I mean that there
is NO webbing - NO obvious frenulum. Tongue notches and has restricted
movement, does not elevate properly, etc. And when you feel it, it feels
like a tight rubber band with almost no give. There is nothing obvious to
clip.

Thanks!

Jaye
