Yes we are continuing to accept free formula from Ross. But perhaps we will
go Baby Friendly someday. HHC the corporation that runs the 11 NYC hospitals
has based its initiative on several of the 10 steps. Several of our
hospitals have currently filed a certificate of Intent with Baby Friendly
USA. My hospital did in 2000 but my predecessor let it expire (out of
frustration, from what I understand). Baby Friendly USA told me that the
best way to get certified is to put all of the steps in order and save step
6 for last. We will see what we will see.

 

By the way, the story that was shot at Bellevue that was supposed to be on
ABC World News Tonight was preempted by the bridge collapse in Minneapolis.l
