"Another variation on all of this is Suzanne Colson's Biological
Nurturing, which is wonderful. http://www.biologicalnurturing.com/
This approach emphasizes the idea that others have termed "no gaps"
noting how this continuous ventral contact and being horizontal with the baby
ventral and on all fours really facilitates a lot of the so called primitive
reflexes. .

Skin to skin and baby led attachment is so important to mother's and babies- I am so glad to see it being discussed and am so thankful for Ms Smillie's work in this area- baby led latching has been personally life transforming for me!!
Also- thank you so much for giving this link to the Biological Nurturing website. As I was reading through the website pages it was all sounding very familiar and then I realised something quite special- I own a copy of the Nurturing Booklet that Suzanne Colson had made!! I bought it at a baby boutique in Crouch End, North London during my pregnancy with my daughter about 4 years ago. I thought it was fascinating at the time and treasured it. How lovely to see this website and finally see the impact that "little book I bought years ago" has made in the world!! Now- I have to go and dig that book out...
