In response to Norma Ritter --- I looked at the attachment animation on Kelly mom and
agree with her. Also, the baby is not snuggled tight up against the breast to begin with and
the chin doesn't sink in. When a baby is attached deeply, I usually cannot see the chin.
The animation shows an "up and over" where the lower lip can slide back up onto the
nipple, instead of a back push which anchors the lower jaw. Finally, it looks like the hand is
pushing on the neck. I find that the difference between pushing on the neck and pushing on
the head, can make an enormous difference for some mothers.
I've spent years constantly revising slight angles in my handouts to make it clearer to
moms. The animation is an improvement over most, but could use some tweaking.
