I loved this book, maybe because I pumped at work and could identify strongly
with the women whose notes are included. I think it sounds like a lot of work
because it is a lot of work for many mothers.
There were pieces here and there, mostly written by the pumping moms,
which I disagreed with, but that was far outweighed by the fascinating and
often funny view the book gives you into a lactation room where a group of
mothers is trying to help each other figure it out - through messages in spiral
notebooks. Pumping at work can be a very isolating experience, and these
women stumbled upon a way to support each other. I wish all
working/breastfeeding mothers had that kind of support.
