The problem with my large pendulous breasts (46H) is that if I don't wear a 
bra, I dribble milk everywhere.  Although two years in, I can now sleep 
without having to wear a soft crop top (otherwise I flooded the bed).

However, that said, I agree with Catherine that the issue is proper fitting. 
  Howking up these splendid mammaries is not a job for anything less than an 
engineering marvel.  That very necessary back support, not to mention being 
able to unclip and re-clip AND be supported adequately,  led me to the 
Goddess range of nursing bras.  I mention it here, and where I buy them, as 
a resource to fellow lactnetters who may need to advise other mothers of my 
shape!  (It did take me nearly a year to find them.)

Although I am in the UK, I find it cheaper to order my nursing bras from the 
following company in the USA, and have them airmailed to me, than it is to 
buy a bra that doesn't fit me, at twice the price, in the UK.  The advantage 
to this company is that they have an online fitting service that means you 
can email them your measurements, ask for advice and enter into a proper 
conversation with an expert.  According to tape measures and normal wisdom, 
I was too big even for the Goddess range - but they are far more wysiwyg 
than most.  They also have lovely normal bras for the largest of sizes, 
which I hope to get too when my son eventually weans.

And if I ever have another child, I will take latch photos of these breasts 
and a newborn and post them on a web site!  Not being able to see either 
your nipple, or the baby's mouth, was a comedy of errors.  We laugh about it 
now, but the disasterous time we resorted to "left a bit, right a bit, down 
a bit, fire!" instructions from my husband whilst I held a squirming 
milk-frenzied newborn in one hand and a mirror in the other, nearly killed 
our relationship stone dead!  :-)
