Dear Friends:
The bit about swaddling that I cut and pasted (section 7:19) from the
Program Manual didn't make it into the post.
They say 2 things; one, that swaddling may help infants stay on their
backs. Two, that researchers are concerned that swaddling contributes
overheating (a risk for crib death) with swaddling and that it isn't effective after
4-6 weeks, and should be discontinued when the infant becomes more mobile.
