Hi,
The baby of one of my clients has been born blind (albinism) He is about 14
weeks old now - and has just been diagnosed, though it has been suspected
for a while.. The mum has been doing the most sensational job. The little
one is having about 300 mls of formula per day - mum is breastfeeding and
expressing to increase supply. The baby is very irritable (light will hurt
his eyes and they live in a very light and airy house. Breastfeeding got off
to a rough start - caesarian, early separation, low weight gains etc. the
mother is committed to keep breastfeeding - but it's hard. I wondered if
anyone has any experience or insights they could share?
Warm Regards
