... unless it's mama's milk? Please don't tell me that all those bottles of liquid gold I pumped for my son (for 14 months!) while I was working outside the home weren't any good for him. :-/
I know that's not what you meant, Pat. Until I pumped as a single mama for my baby boy (now 15 and the picture of perfect health), I probably had the same attitude about bottles. And I did insist that his caregivers use a cup for most of his, starting when he was 4.5 months old. But he was still held and given at least one BOTTLE every weekday while he fell asleep for his nap(s).
I confess that I still look askance at bottlefeeding mamas and babies unless what's in the bottle is obviously breastmilk.
