Ideas needed, please.
I work in a therapeutic maternity home for young women ages twelve to early
twenties -- many of whom have had serious drug and alcohol issues as well as
personal experiences with abuse and neglect. Currently, the breastfeeding rate
is negligible. There is, however, a growing awareness of the importance of
helping these pregnant teens consider, and then choose to breastfeed their
babies.
I learned today that, if I act quickly, there is a $500 grant available which
I could use to purchase breastfeeding promotion materials. Because the teens
at our facility are not likely to be interested in books, my first choice
would be to purchase videos/DVDs's that might get their attention.
I welcome suggestions for good quality materials that might appeal to these
young women.
Thanks!
