I am sorry I asked about the tape measures. I didn't realize it was a
commercial question. Sometimes I get so frustrated by the long tentacles of
marketing! Having replaced almost all of our "educational" marketing materials,
I am now working on items commonly used in a hospital. Running out of an
item can lead to sales folk hanging around with the delivery of the needed
item. The thousands of dollars saved by hospitals in return for distribution of
discharge ad bags includes so many disposable items. The responses from my
inquiry taught me that we create alot of waste from these items, which made
me think why do we throw so much away? What can we reuse? I'm going to
ask the hospital Infection Control dept., and ask the purchasing dept to check
on finding replacements for 'free' items. I have a feeling that it might not be as
much money as is feared. I don't see that the Baby Friendly hospitals have
gone out of business by purchasing these things. thanks for your patience, I
am still growing, Judy
