For the mother with latch pain and baby clicking due to a possible high
palate, I would suggest:
"nipple sandwich" technique and try to "pinch in" a good mouthful of breast
ensure baby's chin and cheek are very close in and there is no pulling
deep assymetrical latch
check for tongue tie
try using a nipple shield for baby to get a deeper grasp
sore nipple relief measures
and if she and the LC did not "click" then she should find another helper
