 One of the difficulties in America ( I can not speak for other  places) is 
that sometimes the physician will refer to an ibclc for lactation  difficulties 
but as it is may not be covered by insurance, the parents choose  not to 
follow through... as this discussion is showing  there are many  facets to this 
situation.
