Dear Lactnetters
Just to update you on the Australian Government inquiry into breastfeeding:
- at the moment 300 of the submissions have been posted on the website, with more to come
- draft transcripts have been posted of the hearings in Canberra (first of 2 Canberra hearings), Cairns, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast
- programs have been posted for hearings in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.
(Just a pronunciation note - the national capital is pronounced with the stress on the first syllable, i.e. CAN-berra.)
I'll repeat the website URL here: www.aph.gov.au/house/committee/haa/breastfeeding/index.htm
Some of the submissions are very long and take a while to download. All of the transcripts of hearings are very long, slow downloads. So if you want to download and read them, be warned - allow pleanty of time.
By the way, I'm NOMAIL at the moment.
Cheers
Virginia
