I have searched for documentation regarding freezer/refrigerater storage of
breastmilk and formula, and have been unsuccessful.
As far as storing both human milk and formula TOGETHER, ADA says it's OK
(best practice is to have separate units for human milk). Do any of you have
references for storing EBM and formula in the same refrigerator? Is there any
reason these can't be stored in the same unit? Human Milk Banking
Association recommends a separate unit in order to protect the breastmilk and
give mothers the clear message that it is valued.
