I felt rewarded today by being able to give a very experienced mom
info/referrals for 3 probable sources of pain. Symptoms suggested thrush in
both mother and baby, babe had questionable tight lingual frenulum and
thick, tight upper labial frenulum, and on top of that, mom still discovered
instant improvement in comfort when shown how to attain a really off center
latch. I was amazed that this brought such a degree of relief, for I had
guessed that the first two sets of obvious problems were probably making her
so tender that she would continue major pain till they were evaluated/fixed.
She walked out of the office feeling hopeful and much relieved.
