to respond to the bras for large breasts issue;
i personally found that JCPenney has nursing bras for the bigger breasted
woman. they were not as pricey as others places that carry them. i
personally had a hard time finding nursing bras in the size i needed.
starting off as a 36dd and a size 10 prior to a twin pregnancy was dreadful
to think my breasts would only get bigger during pregnancy and while
breastfeeding. although not a large woman to start off with, gaining 60lbs
during a twin pregnancy left me larger. then when my twins were only 6mos
old i became pregnant again! i had only lost about 30lbs by that time and my
breasts had not even had a chance to get any smaller since i was still
breastfeeding the twins. although i didn't gain much weight with my 2nd
pregnancy but my large breasts remained. i didn't have any problems with
milk supply. it was plentiful! positioning for feeds was somewhat of an
issue. i sometimes felt as though i was smothering my babies when they were
infants with my large breasts. blocking off their nose breathing with my
breasts. but they gradually grew into my breasts. and then other positions
became easier because of breast size. side-lying when in bed was easy
because of their size. i had a large milk supply and in my experience it
seems lots of larger breasted woman had the same. which came in handy while
nursing twins. would love to talk to the student who monitors this group
about multiples if she so desires. [log in to unmask]
the burden of large breast remains with back-aches and poor posture. when i
am done having children i do plan to have a reduction, and get down to a
nice size C cup and be able to buy bras anywhere i want. you know those
sexy, colorful ones they sell at Victoria's Secret that only come in smaller
sizes. that being said i hope this makes some other big breasted woman feel
she's not alone in the challenges of breastfeeding with large breasts.
