Formula salespeople often have unrestricted access to maternity and NICU units because they ignore the hospital's vendor policy. To help rid the units of these vendors, contact your Purchasing Department and secure a copy of the vendor policy. Give the policy to the formula salesperson. Also contact your Corporate Compliance Department and Purchasing Department and inform them of the violation of the vendor policy. Many maternity units facilitate this type of inappropriate contact because the formula companies have bribed the unit with "free" continuing education. Every bite of food, every minute of "education" is paid for by the mothers that purchase the overpriced formula. Consider using some of the items from the Ban the Bags campaign to scatter around your unit. The mug that says "hospitals should market health and nothing else" might be appropriate. These can be secured from http://www.cafepress.com/massbfc/2473682/.
