This work is being done and we as LCs have an obligation at both the 
professional level and the organizational level to know about it. How 
is it that we are not speaking for the rights and experience of the 
infant when it it so intrinsic to our work? Breastfeeding has no place 
in the medical model, or more accurately, the medical model has no 
place in defining human relationships and well-being.
