This question was asked of me in a hospital by a midwife when confronted
with a mother who asked that her newborn be given EBM leftover from a
previous lactation (3yo child) in preference to infant formula. The
interaction went like this,
"Is milk that was produced for a 3yo suitable for a newborn?"
"Milk porduced for a 3yo human has got be more suitable than milk produced
for newborn cow ...."
