Dear colleagues,

I got this email yesterday (My family has been sick and only checked it
now):

> (my friend) told me to email you if i have any questions. I have a a week
> and a half old premature baby she has jaundice and i was told to take her
> off breastmilk im not too sure why.

This question is totally out of my scope, but my friend knows I am a
breastfeeding advocate and supporter (not even close to being a IBCLC at
this time) so she told this woman to contact me. I know there has been a lot
of discussion about jaundice recently so there are many others who are
knowledgeable about this. I wrote back saying that I will try to get her
some information within the next few hours. I also asked her where she lives
and if there was a lactation consultant at the hospital her baby was born. I
also told her I was not a LC.

I am currently set to Nomail, so please reply to me directly.
