I wanted to post this to LACTNET because you all feel like part of my
family, that I am leaving Massachusetts and moving to North Carolina.
I am also leaving lactation at least for a while. My last job in a hospital
north of Boston was a bitter pill to swallow. I meet up with no support
from managment, and one of the staff nurses, who is an LC was very underminding
to me and all the other staff. The last event that did me in was the
Marketing department who would not let me put up my World Breastfeeding posters I
ordered from ILCA. There were many a mother and staff member who thanked me
and appreciated me but no job is worth coming home crying and depressed.
Since my husband is already working in NC we decided to make the move. I
will be living in the Southport area and working at New Hanover Regional
Medical Center in Wilmington on a post surgical floor.
I plan to continue reading LACTNET and see how much I miss lactation in a
few years.
I look forward to meeting any fellow Lactneter in the Wilmington area.

North of Boston, soon to be a southern girl.
