I can't help but think that not telling a pg mom that she MIGHT face some
extra challenges in breastfeeding for fear that you will actually cause or
at least increase the chance of her having them is a lot like the docs and
others who won't tell a mom the negatives of formula for fear of "making
her feel guilty" if she doesn't (or "can't") breastfeed . Let's not be
guilty of the same patronizing attitude that we complain about. As has
been pointed out by a number of posters, it's in HOW you deliver the
message more that the fact that you inform her.
