Dear Herbalists all:

Here in Mexico Yerbabuena is equivalent to the following plant:

Name: Mentha Sativa L.
Familia: Labiadas
Useable parts:  Leaves and dried flowers
Properties:  Anti-spasm, digestive and stimulant

Normally consumed as a tea, using either fresh leaves OR dried leaves.


NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH....

Menta (peppermint)
Name: Menta piperita L.

Hope this helps. Re:Yerba Santa (mentioned in Carla's posting) is a totally
different plant and not to be confused with Yerba Buena
