I'm not sure what your setting is, but I'm a hospital LC. I would likely save many of the pumps to give out when I have a mother with limited resources. Occasionally there will be a mother who just cannot rent, or purchase even a very inexpensive pump, and often did not get a pump in the hospital. I've also used freebies like that at "baby fair" type events where expectant or new moms can fill out a card and door prizes are drawn for them to win a pump. I know 600 is alot of pumps. You've had some good ideas about classes and League or WIC contacts. I don't remember if you said you have to use these in your own community or not. They could be saved and donated in the event of a disaster, or perhaps donated to a sister country or sister ilca affiliate group, or maybe to a milk bank - do milk banks provide pumps or do moms need their own? Just some ideas.
